Has anyone here got an old 57 ranchero tailgate handle, i need picture of back of it to get idea of the bracket that pulls the release catch inside the gate. Reason is, i ground ends of pins and removed that bracket so i could send handle out in 2 pieces for chroming!and put these parts in safe place! well we all know the answer to that dont we ! where did i hide it! now i need it? Undaunted i have machined 2 new pins and have general idea how it works but before fabricating bracket and welding to the pins i would like a look at picture. Thank you, regards bill.

Hi, I took some measurements and made this little drawing...hope you can decipher it. Sorry, some I wrote as fractions and others as decimals, imperial, no metric for me. Only tricky part to watch for are the 2 bends less than 90 degrees. If needed, don't hesitate to ask for clarity. Hope this helps. Barry

regards bill.Your not alone. I spent a 2-3 hours yesterday looking for some diodes I need for a project to prevent back feeding the electrical system "that I put in a place so I know where they are" and now can't find. Could have gone to Radio Shack and bought a pack of three for 99¢.
