REX HP is producing headers for the passenger cars, I bought them ceramic coated for my 56. Price is a little rough $690 and $195 for ceramic plating plus the shipping, but they are true 4 tube, 1 5/8 primarys, 2 1/2 exits. I should get them in a couple weeks, I'm just an end user with need for parts, Gord McMillan at REX is a wealth of Y-block info and he seems to enjoy sharing it, that's the way Y people are. I been waiting for headers for a while, and figured better now than maybe never. That pic is from an email he sent and they are obviously not coated.

Ted, those look really nice. Let us know how they fit when you get them installed. I'll tell you the drivers side looks like it would interfere with my power brake booster big time tho. Would like to see them on a car.

Really Nice...

Gord sent me an e-mail too a few weeks ago about the headers and I'm considering them also. At the time, he didn't say that he was offering them ceramic coated. That's good to know. Better than getting them bare steel and then having to ship them out again to Jet Hot Coat.

My brake booster will be under the floor in my coupe, so I think these headers will work. I still need to get the motor mocked up in the chassis to be sure.

Would like to see them on a car.

If you wait for me who knows when you'd get a picture of them mounted, but I attached one from REX that may help with you brakes and fitment. You might call them and they may already know what fits or have better pics.

Hope that helps.

Those look like some very nice headers, I saw the auction on ebay but forgot to watch them to see what they went for. These look to be about the best current option for 55/56 car owners, definitely considering ordering a set. Thanks for the info.

Ted, that looks really good. Appears they would fit but I have a power break booster to add to the mix. The booster mount actually raises the M/C a little. I'm just concerned if they will clear the booster. Sure are purty tho...

My M/C clearance.

As a side note; what a coincidence, I just finished drawing up some plans for a M/C pan/shield. Similar to this one...
