Normally those outer loops are faster in most cities, all depends on the city but if you say you have always crawled through Cincinatti it may be worth a try!

I just followed the GPS from Detroit to the super 8 in Heath and it took me through corn fields and little towns where they show up to church on their tractors, very little highway driving just getting out of Detroit.

It might be too late to ask, but during the afternoon rush hour, will bypassing the city via 275 be the faster route? It adds 10 miles to my trip but so far I've only gone straight through Cincinatti and it is a crawl at times.
I was planning to leave early enough to miss it all together but I'm not sure that will work out.
