Hi Guys. Keith's car is looking good with the new paint and sounding great. Tim McMaster has been by the Rolling Bones pits and while I've seen his truck at his pits, I've missed him there. His truck looks good as usual. I spent yesterday helping with a Ford Flathead V8 engine change in the Rolling Bones '29 model and it was up and running yesterday evening. Today will be spent doing some loose ends on that car, tech, and the mandatory drivers meeting. If you have never been to Bonneville, you need to do it at least once as it's an experience that is like no other.

Here's a quick update on Keith's car. The checkout pass on Saturday morning had the car at 177.623 mph. It was simply held to 6000 rpms on that run. That afternoon the car went 187.529 mph. Sunday's pass had the car doing a 188.563 mph run. The car is currently sitting in the staging lines this morning so that a potentially better cool air run can be made. I haven't been able to catch up with Tim McMaster to see how is truck is doing but will try to touch base with him today. I haven't looked over at the HAMB site as there may be something posted over there. All for now. Ted.

The Master Cylinder (8/12/2013) Hope it's OK to post here, some site frown on posting links to other sites. If so I'll remove it.It’s definitely okay to post links to other sites here. Just make sure they are ‘good’ links and insure that they don’t go to spam loaded sites. The HAMB site is a good one so by all means use links to that one. . The 188.563 MPH posted by Keith was as good as it gets this year for the Y. I was involved with a Ford Flathead V8 this year and it managed 141.563 MPH which has to be considered pretty fast when taking into account the limitations involved with those engines. For now, the plan for next year is to get Keith’s Y in the 190’s and the Flattie in the 150’s.

No, you tell her you are going take vacation to visit 'The Great Salt Lake in Utah'. They just 'happen' to be racing cars on a "dry" part the week you visit...
Wikipedia; The Great Salt Lake, located in the northernpart of the U.S. state of Utah, is the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere, and the fourth-largest terminal lake in the world. In an average year the lake covers an area of around 1,700 square miles (4,400 km2)
