The parts show up on EBAY every once in a while. Usually for too much money. There are several places that have a dwindling supply of parts that I'll list later. I just wanted to shoot a couple pics to you. Chuck

Chuck,

Any chance of you posting a few good pics of the lower balancer.

Didn't they have an electric wire heading to the blower, a weird distr vacuum advance, a different fuel pump and two or three vacuum lines running to different places?

Thanks for posting Chuck !!!!!!!!

Regards,

John

The lower pulley is made to bolt on the damper. They come in varying styles. Mine uses a 7/8" wide single belt. Some use a dual V belt pulley. There is a great site at:
www.mpax.com that will answer almost all of your questions. I'll get some more pictures soon.

The people I've dealt with are:

Cundun Racing CLIFF@CUNDNRACING.COM http://www.cundnracing.com/contactus.html

All have rebuilding services plus some parts. Hope this helps. Chuck

Are you looking for VR series parts, or the older VS and SN parts. I've got a couple odd pieces, like the cast bracket, from 1955, and I think the tension arm. Will mount a VS, or and SN with the extended pulley.

Guys,

I am starting to sort out superchargers from my dear old friends 45 year collection.

He collected most/some from the 55-56 ford era, 57 ford VS phase one, VR58 and ford SN 60.

Many of the parts have been mixed up, >>> hence the 55-56 ford VS post.

Figured I would sort them out>>one at a time !!!

Moonshadow; thanks for posting your picture, I now know that the one set up is for late 55 into 56 ford Y-block.

I am still confused on a few pulleys, did figure out the Y block ones for the 55-56 units, the 57 ford pass & birds, still lost on the SN 60's.

Pretty sure that one SN is a sb cobra application, it has a aluminum multi angled 4 inch tube which routes off of the blowere>> so the auir cleaner could be placed in the mouth of a Cobra.

The other appears to be for a FE 427 application, think BB Cobra.

** TOPIC>> I believe I need a weird ford vacuum advance, like a 55 ford Y block, but it has two ports, not one, does anybody have one??? I believe the rest of the parts I have to it, are all original.

I think this set up is early/late 55>. heading into all of 56>> the reason being as it has the muffler type air cleaner, not the air cleaner type used later on 57 F model fords.

Confused but trying to sort it all out>> any guidance is very much appreciated.

I personally also need some EDB 57 engine parts and a 57 Phase 1 blower>> will have some extra 57 F pass car parts to trade, or will buy outright. We currently have a 57 Bird F chassis on a rotisseri and have the engine>> we need some phase 1 parts for a 57 pass car which is next to do.

Lengthy post, but I want to make sure of the 55-56 set up, before I post it for sale herein the Y-blocks site !!!

Best regards, and thanks guys,

John

Pegleg,

Thanks for the info and contacts.

Yes, the phase 1 VS is a tough find, hopefully I have some other F parts somebody needs, and a extra phase 1.

Noticed your posted by Elkhart;

as a trivia and historical point, the man that built the futuristic exotic car I have, helped design, was a stock holder, and flagged the Innagurial race at Road America, also had his good friend Harley earl bring some GM concept cars, and also reserved a spot for Gordon Buehrig. Truth be told, and it will be one day, Jim Kimberly, Wacky Arnolt and Ben were the basic builders of the National SCCA.

Warm regards,

John
