Has anyone used a GM TH200-4R AOD on a Y-Block?
The TH200-4R is a really nice automatic overdrive transmission used in the Turbo Buicks. With some modifications it will easily withstand 800 hp and 800 lbs ft of torque, and it is light with small losses. Good ratios on all four gears.
Both Wilcap and Berndtsen's make adaptors for this swap, originally designed for the TH700-R4.

Put a ford AOD in it or an E4OD in it (E4OD is a little more do to the fact you need a controller) but AOD is all hydraulic and is very buildable for some power. Ford trans behind Ford engine. I have an E4OD in mine with an adapter from Bendstons and it is twin turbo charged putting out over 1000 hp and the trans is working great.

I guess the AOD in your truck works well. Even going backwards on one wheel in the snow! : Chuck
