Jim, He called me last weekend, I guess right now the best way is to contact him by phone.

Does anyone have updated contact info for Bob? I have e-mailed to the gmail address that he sent out before the big layoff but haven't gotten any response at all. I would like to update the events page on the site and in the past, Bob has always had his ear to the ground as to what stuff is going on.

I really liked the all Ford format. Lots of interesting vintage racers and the swap meet actually had vendors. Chuck
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

It's still an event on the NMRA Schedule, but "NMRA" is not in the banner like it is for the other events. I don't know if that means anything. Whatever the case may be, it looks like the Mustangs are very much involved. http://www.nmradigital.com/2013_event_schedule/

what's the latest on this event. Is it back to being an All Ford event With a swap meet? I really missed that feature over the last few times. Really want to come but I can get my fill of all the Mustangs anywhere.

I noticed the empty stands. Too bad they don't come to New England dragway. I would plan to go. Those are a bunch of bada$$ cars. 9 second street cars! Chuck

What has always amazed me about the event is there are a lot of racers but the spectator stands are empty, sooner or later if they dont get any spectators they will give it up and if there were more spectators then the pit passes and racing may be cheaper.

Slightly off subject but I'm sure most of us remember the 57 scrub that showed up on the Ford weekend a couple years ago. I was watching show about a hot rod drag week, aseries of drags that require the cars to be driven a considerable distance between races. I'm sure the 57 scrub we saw was in this deal. These are real monster cars barely street legal and go like he%%. Impressive! Check out Jeff Lutz 57 scrub. Chuck

My 2 cents worth. Gathered from talking to Bob Martin & reading in Race Pages, NMRA cut some meets and moved the Ohio event to Norwalk [can you say faster clean up after rain] & also dont`t have to put up with so many of the bracket racers ,which in my opion is the back bone of the sport. NMRA comes in to play for Columbus, because there is still money to be made for a promoter & maybe still had a contract there for that date . Just look at the prices their charging. One more thing I think the reason for any confusion is because any Info. they put out is a trial balloon to see what kind of responce they get. I belive they are planning on a couple of their street classes which were mainly local cars any way. Like I say just what I gathered , but I think some of it is close to being correct
