This on ebay Y-block Hilborn Fuel Injection. I watch ebay for parts and this is the most interesting and unique fuel delivery system I have seen, not mine, don't know seller. Looks to be original and well documented, my qestion would be is this unit at all streetable or is it pretty much race only. I'm guesssing this will be pricey, but it really has a wow factor.

I saw that yesterday went from starting price to over a thousand in no time. I'm sure there is a race car somewhere that NEED's this! Chuck

brokengate (3/18/2013) my qestion would be is this unit at all streetableMaybe if you drill electronic fuel injectors in it. Only throttle position/RPM-based control system isn't very streetable, but maybe some hardcore Y-Blockers can ignore it.

The street mods for modern EFI are easy enough to do and they sure turn heads. Or there are a few racers that could use them. I don't know how the old units compare to modern FI for dragsters. Chuck

They are pretty much a race car item only. However, I understand Hilborn will make them street useable for a fee, which i understand is not cheap.

If you search deeper you will find the fuel pump listed separately. It is one 90% off the distributor. Got to be rare. Seller is looking for a double buy..........A friend of mine runs a Gas roadster with a Dodge Vintage 4 Cylinder at Bonneville, a Y-block head, and Hilborn injectors......Pretty kool...JD

I've seen a couple of those converted to electronic, including an Algon injection. It's way OT on this old post, pm me if you want details.
