Larry and his wife sat with me at the Pomona NHRA opener on Thursday and he picked my brain for a few hours on the GMC's. Said he wished he had found me first. Tim, I have no doubt you can get the "D" record if some "nut" farmers don't find a pick-up and put one of their Panella engines in it....JD
PS: Looks like I'm coming to Speed Week to help a friend with his C/Gas Coupe Firebird, he needs to get into the 230's for a hat (tough to do). Hopefully I can catch up with all the Y-Guys.

I hadn't heard about Larry changing plants. Someday I think I will build another E motor and get that record back for the Y-Block. Gotta get that D record first though.

The "2013" SCTA Bonneville Rulebook is out and Tim's Unibody pickup is used for the Production Pick-up class (PP) photo. Last year was the '59 Chevrolet of Larry Lancaster who is giving up on his Chevrolet and going to a blown GMC 6 (good idea). The more coverage the better...................JD
