I might let her have my 65 custom 500 4 door and look for a non running 2 door post or wagon for myself.

I was the poster with the name crown55vic. After the upgrade, I couldn't log back on, so created new account. I do have access to a 56 Fairlane 4 door hardtop if you are interested, Jeff. Personal e-mail is hessben@hotmail.com

Jeff, while I was locked out of this site I was still able to access Y blocks Forever 2006. There was a fellow (55crownvic I think) who was offering a '56 or55 4 door for $2000 or so (I don't remember exactly as well). I posted a reply that you were on the new site and that he should move his offer over here. That site seems to be gone now so I don't know if he got the message.

Around 2000.00 max,I prefer one that either has sat for many years or minus the drivetrain. A mainline or customline would be best and would also consider one that also does not have the front fenders as I would go fiberglass. Cheap is what I am looking for as long as its not all trashed or rotted away,a decent 4 door that has been used for a parts car would be good too as long as its mostly complete from the firewall on back and a good title. I have found the 1958 to 60 MEL motor will bolt to a FE bellhousing which I have and if I can find one that runs and add my T 10 trans could have a nice little sleeper the woman to drive.

Jeff, what is your price range?A friend of mine has a pretty decent 55 4 door Fairlane he'd like to sell. It's a running driver.Don't hold me to this price, but I believe he'd take around $5500 for it.

The woman wants a hotrod and loves 4 doors so I am going to look for a cheap 4 door to build her a sleeper, does not have to run or have a motor since I am planning on a Lincoln Y block or a early MEL if I can find one of those motors that run.
