alanfreeman (1/31/2013) Hi Ron. I had an extra set of them after I finished my '54 Ford convertible and I sold them on Ebay about 6 months ago. They are actually closer to 1/4" thick not 1/8" thick. If you really don't want to just make them out of 1/4" steel plate, you can order Concours Ford Parts # BAAA-5404 KIT which comes with two of the steel body pads plus bolts and nuts for $24.00. This body mounting kit is for the cab of '53-'56 Ford trucks but the steel pads are the same as the ones used in Ford passenger car convertibles. Good luck, Alan S. FreemanAlan, THANK YOU very much for the tip! I didnt know they were the same as the pick ups; this is great info! Thanks again!! Ron

Ron, as you may be aware , they are just a metal pad about 2" square and about 1/8" thick to take up the space beteen floor and chassis mount, could you measure that gap and make one? My take on why they are metal instead of the sedan rubber ones is to make body less flexable? Best regards bill.

Long story short - IM looking to buy one (1) steel body mount for a 56 sunliner. This is the pad that goes between the body and the frame mounting tab/point. On the convertibles they are steel; on hardtops they are rubber. i need a steel one. Please let me know if anyone has one to sell. THANKS! Ron
