Egge Machine & Speed recently advertised new pistons for the Ford 260 V-8s. Noticed they are 3.80" diameter & available in 0.30, 0.40 & 0.60 oversize bores, with 0.912" wrist pins. Compression on a 260 would be 8.70.. Question, will they fit a 312 crank etc.?

Paul:

Compression height would be a problem.  The 260 piston would be .187 down the hole with the stock 312 rod.  So to get the piston to the top, you would have to have rods 3/16" longer than a 312 rod.
