The mid 60s Lincolns have one that will work and will be heading back to the junkyard to get one next week.

Where I live if I wanted something from a mid 60's lincoln I would have to have been at the yard 30 years ago. You are luckey to find early 90's around here.

I would check the junk yards. A lot of vehicles have glove box lights with either a button behind the lid or a tilt switch. Shouldn't be that hard to find one then use a vintage style mount for the bulb. Chuck

Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Made a executive decision and not going to use any of the original light parts since I will have to drill a hole in the dash for a switch,I was hoping for a plug to remove for a easy installation but came up with another idea. I am going to find a light I can install on the top of the liner that has a lense that will look period correct and tie it into the courtesy light under the dash,I will make it so when the courtesy light is on so will be the glove box light.

I want to put a glove box light in my 55 and found two on ebay but very expensive so I am trying to come up with a alternative so I grabbed one out of a 56 merc in a junkyard today, does anyone have one and where does the switch mount and I glanced in the glove box on mine and could not see where it would mount.
