Never done a "poll" before but here goes... hopefully I set this up right.

I am curious as to anyone's interest in a Y block Blog. A lot of new fellas get on here and ask quite a few questions that have been covered before about builds, parts, assembly, etc. There is excellent information on this Forum, no doubt. I personally believe that it would benefit us to have a Y block blog where a builder could post his pics, his specs, build process, etc on a weekly basis. Some of the threads we have on this forum are just that - a Y block blog taking you through a build. Not that the forum is set up the best for that, it was never the intended purpose (unless Jim wants to chime in here and correct me at any moment).

Why would I ask about a blog? posting would be easier with pics and text changes, and you could search each individual blog for entries, text, etc. It would also clear up the extending messaging where people are commenting on someone's blog (not that it's wrong or anything) - a blog would clear up all of the posts so that only the blogger(s) posts could be readily viewed/accessed.

Let's face it, a lot of us get on here and take a look at what someone else is doing with their Y (look at the views and pages of those guys that have started a "blog" by making the first post about their build).

I am not trying to say let's add more to Jim's and the other moderators' plate, for I would be glad to research the idea and maybe host the site myself if need be. However, I would be remiss if I said that this was not the place for said blog. After all, this site is "The global crossroads for Y blockers!"

thoughts, moans, groans, criticisms, ideas, helpful insight? Tongue

And there is a Facebook group for Y people too Smile. As a thought, all internet social Y-block groups should be closed as those take our spare time of doing what is most important. Building our rides and engines etc. BigGrin
