Thank you very much! You are absolutely correct and what keen eyes you have! I have been staring at that same assembly drawing for a couple of weeks now and I just did not see that part location. Probably because it wasn't where I expected it to be. I took the two parts down to my storage garage where I have the front fenders stored and after looking at them, it was obvious how it went together. Again, I really appreciate your help. I am probably one of the few people who have completely disassembled, then reassembled, a '54 Merc, especially a Sun Valley. If you or anyone else has any questions, I would be happy to help. Thanks again!

Here is the pictures that I found from parts books. Took a while to found from 54 picture and 55 picture is for reference to look better where those triangular parts are located. I hope this helps.

I figured out the large pieces. They attach to the ends of the front splash pan. However, I still can't figure out the two small triangular pieces. Anyone have a '54 Merc that they could look at to see where these go and send a photo or a good description? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!!

Anybody have a '54 Merc? I am reinstalling my inner fender panels and I have some pieces left over. I usually take pictures when I disassemble something but this time I didn't and I can't remember how the pieces go together. I think I have attached a picture of what the pieces look like. There are four pieces, two for each side. I'm pretty sure they go in the front corners but I've tried them every which way and I can't figure out how they fit. If anyone can tell me where these go, I sure would appreciate it. A picture would really help! Thanks for any ad all help.
