Alan, my youngest son went into basic training last week at Fort Sill. Sounds like he graduates the 18th or 19th of December. Looking at the maps, it looks like we want to go out to Columbus, Indy and south and west through ILL, MO, and OK. How long does it take you to get to Columbus where we race, and at what speed do you travel?

HI Dennis, Hey, You talk'n to me!

If so, I just found your message. It usually takes me awhile for the trip because I goof around on the way up and back with some minor site seeing diversions and give the Bird a chance to rest, stretch my legs and at my age have to pee more than I prefer Hehe. Google says 14 hours, which if you pay attention is fair. Driving my Honda civic was much less stressful, and not very interesting

If you google map Columbus, Ohio to tulsa, you pretty much have my trip thru st. Louis, to Springfield to Tulsa. I've made it to Columbus to Tulsa in the bird in one shot but it wasn't as much fun. Hiway 70, 255 thru St. Louis then 44 to Tulsa and Ft. Sill.

You have to promise to look me up when you come thru Tulsa. You can stop for R&R, I'll buy, your choice.

Are you bringing your Pickup? BTW there is a more scenic route through Louisville, but slower of course.

It's not fair to ask how fast I drive! I'm always over or under, depending on my mood.Cool

Alan, I used Bing maps and they're saying 20 1/2 hrs driving time. Dianne can share driving time, I think we can make mid Illinois the 1st day. It looks like another 200 miles past Tulsa. I guess it all depends on what time we pass through if we can stop. I'd like to.

No blue truck,ford escape.
