i found a window frame with glass ,the part # is CB 439-LH also has BN-6021581-B. I believe it to be drivers side 55 merc montclair but dont have a merc parts manual to verify that.The glass is tinted but for show car should be replaced. Carl

That's right Carl, The flippers came out in 56 which is an improvement in looks with the added chrome. The 55 crown didn't have flippers but the 56 did. The same with the 55 merc montclair vs 56 victoria 2dr ht. I mentioned the vent window assy just in case anyone could use them, they always seem to pit up after several years since there not made of stainless and what I have is as rare as hens teeth since I've never seen another set anywhere.

so the 55 montclair didn"t have the door flipper like the 56 Ford & 56 Merc ?

55 merc window frames have a groove running along the top like a convertible and the vent assy is similar but won't fit a conv. 56 mercs and 56 fords will interchange. Hope this helps.

56 fords won't fit a 55 mercury. I have one NOS vent window assy that fits a 55 merc montclair ht and 55 crown vic.I have $550 in it. I'm not trying to make any money on it but would sell it for my money back if anyones interested.

What do you want for the frames... Will they fit the Montclair ... Was told the roofline is different then the fords

i have the window frames that came off of a 56 ford victoria,no glass and the window channels need replaced.Dennis Carpenter has repos for them. Carl
