There was similar car running around Perth, West Australia in the 70's. It was even more radical. He used a utility as the base and extended the cab slightly and then fitted the same hideous Chrysler fins and fitted a long trunk lid to cover the ute origins. I suppose you could say it was a poor mans backyard Thunderbird. Here in Perth in the 70's early Thunderbirds were like gold and harder to find than a brass magnet.
I recently saw it in a wreckers yard and was sold as a project to someone south of Perth.
It was very well engineered and was once fully regoed.
The owner had more sense than to allow a photo of him to surface.
