Not causing an immediate problem but, while driving at night, noticed there is a faint feedback coming from the generator light. What would likely cause that? A bad ground possibly?

Would that cause it to flicker occasionally ??? Mine was doing that on the drive home from Columbus. Amp gauge showed that I was charging fine but the gen light would flicker, ever so often, just for a second ??? I assumed it was just because I was running my electric fan all weekend at the track and ran the battery pretty far down?

Rob, I'd think so. Something is looking for an earth. Check the engine ground strap, and maybe the one on the fan?

Thanks Frank, will do. How is your motor by the way? You said it was making a noise in Columbus.

Rob turned out to be nothing worse than a blown exhaust manifold gasket. Really had me fooled though. Now I gotta figure out why it slowed down a bunch.
