I just bought a 55 vic and it has a tubular grille on it. I want to go back to a stock grille.

I would prefer a show quality grille but can work with one that needs rechroming as long as no metal work needs to be done.

I am willing to also work out a trade if anyone is interested in a tube grille.

Dennis Carpenter is now supplying a COMPLETE grille for 55 Ford.5 pieces including 2 Grille halves.B5A-8200-S $500.00.The only question mark is that it says "imported" in the description.He is also working on 1956 Ford parking light housings.No price or availability date yet.Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 55 grilles as far as quality etc?

  

Check the classified section 1955 4 door and call Bob in Red Bluff CA, I got a couple minute quik look at the car today Bob hadn't got home.  He's willing to part it and that grill looked good.  Worth a try, it's a Western car and has some good parts.

Thanks Mark....this may be a pretty good option depending on quality. Since by time I buy a used one and have it rechromed, I'll probably be close to 500 anyway.

I have a complete unmolested '55 grill still in my '55 Customline. Car has been in my family since 56 and is very low mileage. The car has been stored inside but let me double check to see if it might need rechroming.

What condition is your tube grill? That's sort of what I had in mind for my 55.

Won't be able to check Sunday but I'll try to do it Monday if you think you might be interested.
