Uni, I have mine under the dash, on the rh kickpanel. You can't see it until you crawl on the floor on your back. Looks stock under hood.

Greg, thanks for letting me know on the clearance, I appreciate it. I'm going to do a MSD at some point. I'm currently running a Petronix in a 57-64 rebuilt distributor and is working great with no problems. Michael

I didn't have any problems with the distributor clearance on my unibody. The only problem with my installation is where to put the 6AL if you go that route. I moved the battery underneath to the frame rail and put the 6AL on the firewall-- it looks tacky and out of place to me but with the whole system I feel that the benefits are quite worth it.

Unibodyboy, did you have any problems with the distibutor fitting into the truck as far as the firewall cleanance in the back. I have 2 Uni's and was woindering how the fit was, any trimming or anything like that. Michael (aka Unibodyguy)

there are a lot of us who have used the Petronixs. I put one in my 56 6 years ago and have not touched it since. Rob

Has anyone used a Petronics? An MSD is expensive as hell. Back "in the day" I used a ford dual point. Was the best thing going back then. I would like to have an electronic distributor, alternator and electric windshield wipers. One of these days I'll get all of this caught up on my "56 Customline Victoria" that I just "rescued" from the snow and ice in Colorado after being in storage for 27 years .. Good stuff on this site though.

I'm also running that distributor, and in addition I just added a MSD 6AL to the mix. It's running wonderfully.
