Fellas, I am looking for the thin piece of stainless that attaches to the bottom of the sheet metal garnish moulding on a 2 door Fairlane Club Sedan. Someone drilled several holes in my Father-in-law's moulding, and a good piece with no dents or extra holes shouldnt be too hard to find,,,, I hope.  give me a PM or shoot over to my email at danaxjessup@yahoo.com My zip is 22603

Carl, Here is a few photos of the size of the strip. It attaches horizontally the bottom of the window (painted) sheet metal garnish molded on the interior. Need one for a 2 door because the 4 door would obviously be too short. The one in the picture is from the drivers side, but they are both the same part, passenger or driver side.

Oof... I know that it's actually pretty hard to find tudor sedan trim. My first was a 1955 Mainline tudor sedan, and I set out on a mission to correctly upgrade it to a Fairlane.
This particular piece might be common with the hardtops, so that might make it a little easier to find.
There's an off chance I might still have something around, but I can't guarantee I'll get a chance to sort through my pile of stainless until a few months from now.

Current (as in I've had these vehicles and work on them when I can since some time in the 1990's) projects:
1955 Mercury Montclair Sun Valley (restoring to original with some added OEM options added. Goal: special event and occasional fun use)
1955 Mercury Monterey station wagon (original exterior and chassis, 390 engine and Dodge Journey interior. Goal: towing and frequent use)
