Ted, this is a 1/8th mile track and a 7.6 which is some where around 12.16 when converted for the 1/4. The track conditions are not too good (me either). The motor is flawless, My speeds have been around 90-92 which seems good comparing other speeds I have been seeing. I need to work on my launch and get dialed in and quicker times are ahead.

Vic. Sounds like a lot of fun for all. Thanks for the detail on the races. How about an update on your own cars performance? How are the e.t.’s now as compared to before?

We had 7 cars in the Saturday Shoot out plus the Maverick of Dave Stien that had a breakdown and a 57 cop car that a clutch problem and a 56 original condition 2 door wagon stopped by for a look see. Harry and Tom Drummond driving Bob Martin's Merc in the finals. They both had the same reaction times and speed and Tom broke out by .0001 and good old Harry was .020 over his dial in. We also had an extra feature - doing a flag start heads up, Vic Correnti won over Dave Fuszner heads-up, Harry won over Drummond heads-up, Royce Brechler, in "Thumper", spotted Jim Cochran's '55 Ford 60-feet and passed him at the stripe, and Jerry Christenson was matched heads-up with one of his friends in a 460-powered '63 Fairlane, and nailed him on the flag drop and was never caught. They treated us like the Y's were a big time draw. Harry made a fool out of a scrub guy sand bagger, he was 3.3 seconds faster then Harry but put in the same time as Harry and got in front of Harry and waited for Harry who beat the Scrub. The guy bought back in and in the third round Harry took him out again. Way too much fun!
