I never do anything that is easy,I could find a incomplete 55 crown vic and start from there to build a low roof 2 door hard top.

Seems like the hard way to do it. Would work but why not just build  '56 if you like the '56 body? Or put the '55 interior in it cause that would be the only thing that is different.

If I can ever get all my projects done I have the idea of building a 55 2 door hard top with a 56 body running around in my brain,I never liked the high roof of the 55 2 door hard tops and would like to build one using a 56 2 door hardtop body shell. It would be easier to decrown a crown vic plus I wont have the money to buy one and would ruin a good one so a complete 56 body and the rest from a 55 should make a nice looking 55,my very late 55 sunliner actually has a 56 body and could fool some by saying its a very late 55 2 door hardtop.
