anyone have a suggestion for softening up/rejuvenating rubber parts like tail light gaskets and such?  not much available for Daniel's 63 Merc out there so we may have to liven up what we have...

I bought some stuff here in Australian from http://www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au/Ford%20Customline%201955-59.htm  called Rubber Gloss & Lubricant 50ml which seems to be a rejuvinators. Which I bought as an extra with some seals and stuff. I never used it.

Armorall or I have also heard that vegetable oil is good as natural rubber is a plant product.

Sorry no definites just ideas

If they're flat gaskets, you can buy sheet rubber and make new ones.

I have used A ziplock bag OR aluminum foil to put rubber parts in with Armorall or something similar and had really good luck with it. Just store them for a long period of time, days, weeks while you do something else.
