Wayne. There are no plans to do any air flow tests on the 2X4 intakes. The intakes would have to be sent out for this to happen and that’s a cost factor that’s not being considered for this test. While air flow numbers might give a small bit of additional information when put against the dyno values, by themselves they will not mean much other than insuring that the intake manifold flows at least as much as the heads they are being used on. In the end, it’s more about quality of flow rather than quanity of flow.

thanks ted. will you be able to bench flow each manifold bare so we have some cfm readings to go by? if it can be done. has anyone checked the flow on a bare stock iron intake? again, thanks for putting up with me.

Wayne. While I’ve run the stock dual quad setups on the dyno, I’ve done no comparison testing between manifolds. I’m currently collecting a variety of dual quad manifolds for an extensive test in the Spring. Getting good working and matching carbs are the real issue but slowly getting there.
