Selling my Custom 300 after 25 years of enjoying it. It was built in San Jose. It's an original 312 D-code car with the original T-85 3-speed and overdrive. I bought it in Ca. and brought it back east, where its always been garaged. Its extremely solid. The only rust is in the bottom corner of each fender, where I've slapped a little bondo but the corners should be replaced. The engine has about 45,000 miles since being rebuilt. Runs very nice. I've driven it from CT to Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, New York, never missed a beat on any long trips. I recently had the pan off to replace the rear main seal. Everything looked nice and fresh inside.

The engine is stock except for the fuel pump (FE), fan, plug wires and air cleaner. Distributor is a rebuilt from NAPA. New coil, points & condensor. Carb is a new Holley 1846. It could use some tuning to get it just right. I added an overflow tank and smitty's mufflers.

The car has disc brakes mounted on the original spindles, with a dual master cylinder and proportioning valve. It stops very well. It has S-10 coil springs in front because I wanted it to sit a little lower. The rear springs are stock and about 10 years old. It rides nice.

Radio works fine, and has all new tubes inside.

That's the good, here's the bad: I've already mentioned the rust in the fenders. The paint overall is old and chipped in spots. The spotlight and clock don't work, though they used to. The headliner is long gone. The drivers side exhaust pipe tends to rattle against the frame when its cold. The wiper motor is gone.

I have most of the original parts to bring it back to stock, including the air cleaner, new stock coil springs, all 5 original wheels, hubcaps, front brake assemblies, wiper control cable, license plate bracket, and headliner bows. It will have the stock valve covers, as I'm keeping the aluminum ones for another engine. The car originally had backup lights which I removed because I dont like the look of the tail lights with them. I will include the backup tail lights and wiring.

I'm selling the car to make room for a '60 F100. Asking $9000.

I have more pictures, just ask.

Thanks.

It's never been in a crash as long as I've owned it. Probably never, from what I can tell from the countless hours I've spent lying underneath it.
