I just need the aluminum (or steel) bracket that bolts to the tailshaft of the trans, that the shifter bolts to. I have a really nice Mr Gasket shifter, complete with rods, etc, but no mounting bracket. If anyone has a spare mounting bracket laying around for a Hurst or Mr Gasket (clone of Hurst Comp Plus), send me a price. If I cant find one that doesnt cost what I gave for the shifter soon, I'm putting my Verti-Gate in, it's complete. Thanks....J

Toploader Heaven has them for$40 to $100 depending on the application. If you are at all handy you could make one from 1/2" steel or aluminium plate if you have a sawz all , an electric drill and a tap and die set and custom build it for your application. I am in the process of modifying one right now to adapt a toploader to my '57 Bird  using the Hurst shifter and grafting on the T-Bird handle and the T-Bird transmission tunnel plate. Kind of a jigsaw puzzel but I think I can make it work and look like it is still the factory setup.

Dan, that bracket won't work, the one I need is a 1/2 or 5/8 inch thick aluminum with countersunk holes to mount the shifter to the trans. I will prob just make one, have to pick up some aluminum plate. Thanks, guys...
