Everynow and then there is an inquiry about machine shop costs.  Below is the cost of my 312.

     Hot tank block      $50

     Check mains, bores, deck  50

     Mag block                      35

     sonic test block  50

purchase of brass freeze plugs  12.50

One rod bearing (I only had 7)   21.50

    Align hone mains   125

    Bore V8   145

    Surface block    125

Lay crank and check deck height  50

check rods big and small end   64   (I thought this a little much given that they were new Probes).

Balance   175  (includes balance of pistons, rods, crank, etc)

 Install cam bearings   35

install freeze plugs and galley plugs  18.00

 Machine 6cc from domes  100.00

Crank magnaflux and grind  110  (done in Eugene, OR)

Total 1216.00.      Most all of the parts I already had so they are a separate list, totaling close to $1800.  No final assembly performed at machine shop.
