I got some stainless lines from Vintage Speed for the 3 94's. Birthday present. The fuel lines have compression fittings at the carb inlet ends. Will these thread directly into the carb inlet on the carb body and seal? Or do I need an adapter? The threads are correct and not NPT fittings.

Mark, I'm using those fittings with brake line tubing. Not ss of course but it seals well.

Mark, be carful when tightening those fittings. I they are like the ones I got from Vintage Speed for my 97's they are not S/S but chrome plated brass. Also don't polish them to aggressively or you will polish thru the thin chrome.

Sorry I can't answer your question about the fittings sealing, the Strombergs have flared fitting.

Charlie advertises this set as polished stainless steel. The stuff is thick-walled, so flaring doesn't look possible due to cracking. Here is the description:

I'm using that same set-up on my 57 for 3yrs. now. Had the carbs off a number of times without any problems. Had to tweak the line to the rear carb when I installed a spacer w/a vacumn fitting last year but everything is still fine.
