Finally went to a local strip, haven't run since Columbus last year. Comparing my slips which I thought I did a lot worse, I actually had better times in the 8th. a 10.83, a 10.86 and then one I fouled, tried to catch up to the guy next to me who lit his lights right away and ended up rolling through and redlighting. 4 speeds are not so easy on the line, you don't have the option of one foot on the brake and one on the gas.

MPH was in the high 66's one at 66.96mph while Columbus was averaging 62-65 in the 8th. Its weird how I though I did a lot worse and ended up doing better.

What gear are you crossing the finish line in? I don't like running the 1/8th since I went to a 4.27 rear. I have to shift one more time before the finish whereas before I could finish in 2nd gear.

Dennis, I was just hitting 3rd gear before the finish line. I have 3.25 rear. I think I am going to try the 3.89 I have with mini spool sometime soon, should kepp me up in the rev's. they must have had good traction aid on the track because I never spun off the line, I ended up bogging it instead.

My other problem is since I mostly street drive it, I drive by sound and rarely look at the tach. now  when you cannot hear your own car, I couldn't tell if I was spinning or not until I looked at the tach. Guess I have to learn to drive by the tach, thats why they have those big things with shifts lights in front of their face with no speedometers, cause you can't hear what your own car is doing.
