Should be a sweet ride. When I got my 57 I struggled between that and a 56 Sedan Delivery. Now I'm lusting over a 57 Del Rio Ranch wagon. If I only had more $$$, space, time ...........

Hi Mike! Nice score.Talking of low production numbers.1954 Meteor Sedan Delivery-613 produced.I dont have the car BUT I do have the sales brochure for it.Canadian only vehicle.Or how abot the 1955 Meteor Crown Victoria.They were all built with steel roof-no glasstops.151 produced and surprisingly there is a primo example that shows up from time to time at the local shows around my area.Saw it 2 weeks ago.Y- block powered of course.

  

Very cool!  I have a '35 SD that is being given to me for work that I am doing.  Very rough also, but will look good when finnished with a Y in it.

Thanks for all the encouragement!   We rolled it into the barn an hour ago, and it does roll well .  We finally got it stopped just inches before it ran into an engine on a test stand.  I asked my wife if she saw us come in, hoping she didnt.  "Yes I did.  It looks rough."

I'll post a pic or two later.  The big non-Y friendly front cross member is easy to see.

Mark, looking at the brochure for the meteor, it looks the same except for the center cross piece going across the grill.  Tim,  nice score!

Mark, thanks for the pics of that 55 Meteor. I had a 56 Meteor CV w/o the glass roof back in the day. Mine was blue/white and the black insert went all the way to the rear of the car. Sold it after I got drafted.

Here is my 56 Meteor convert I built about 12 years ago, only 479 built, about 22 still exist. Sold it and built my crown.

That was a beauty Marvh.Do you know where it is now?The 56 Meteor Crown Vic production numbers were only 206. 55 more than 1955.To my knowledge all 55 and 56 Meteor Crown Vics were steel tops.Possibly some were converted to glasstops after the fact.I would guess that fewer than 10% survived. There is a fellow in western Canada advertising on Kijiji seeking a 55 Meteor Crown Vic to replace the one he sold years ago.I have been in contact with him by email a couple of times.Sent him the same pics I posted here.This Crown Vic is not for sale.The only reason it survived is because it was parked in a barn in 62 until the current owner bought it in 78 and repaired the rear 1/4's.There is another 55 Meter Crown Vic for sale on Kijiji in Montreal Canada.Running driving car being sold as an estate after the owner passed.His son is selling.$37,000 and it is not perfect.Needs finishing. Low production mid 50's Fords and Mercs are interesting topics for discussion.There are many that most people are not aware of.
