In my EMAIL and telephone conversations with EBAY they really didn't seem the least bit interested. I just sorry that at least two people bid to purchase these pictures for such high amounts. High enough, I'm sure, in most places to be a felony offense. I hope the seller is pursued for legal action. After talking to the EBAY (outsourced) contact I had totaly lost confidence that they would do anything. All they had to do was look at the ad, read it all, and remove it then block the seller. Should be able to happen with minimum delay in cases of obvious fraud. Chuck

Thanks to the diligence of people such as those that reported this, this episode of underhand dealing has been removed from sale. It does bear out what has been said that it pays to read the whole description.
I am always wary when there is a lot of blank space in a listing.
The lesson in this is that if you realize you have been duped report it straight away before the listing ends and you may save yourself some heartache.
My motto in life is that if something seems to good to be true it invariably is. It is nice to have a score sometimes though.

Aren't you guys being a little hard, he did offer FREE SHIPPING on the piece of paper. So I guess the plan was to sign up as a new customer, buy a few cheap things so you have a great rating, then put up a picture with a starting bid of $500. I've got a great ebay rating and some really good shots of the Golden Gate Bridge, where should I start the bidding Don I've heard of 19th century yokels new to the big city actually buying the Brooklyn bridge, but always assumed the Golden Gate was built since the dawn of a more enlighten age. I could be wrong. Lazy, one-click impulsive internet shopping will likely bite us all on the butt eventually.

The one listing was ended, but one still remains. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/weiand-172-/200620791690?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb5ee578aI reported it too. Thanks for spotting and sending up the alert on this MoonShadow.

This is fraud pure and simple! If eBay doesn't step in on this one they're not worth a damn and bear as much culpability as the seller. Mike

Yup, response I got was that it was for the picture. Went to report it and it says the listing was ended because the item was sold.....dirtbag

It looks now like all of the description has been removed. I wonder how he managed doing that after bids were already made.

In a situation like that, I hope the bidder does not pay and let the seller complain to ebay. Then the truth should come out. You are right, It is SCUMBAGS like this that make looking for parts extremely hard.

I asked about the condition of the blower. The reply was "its just a picture". I've reported it to EBAY with no action. They asked me for clarification which I sent. Sadly there are now multiple bidders over $600 for this "picture". What a croc! Chuck
