What a great site !!!

Just thought I would take a minute to show the Fords I owned/own that had Y blocks.

My first one was a 1956 F-800 "BIG JOB" fire truck....I don't care for fire trucks but my intention was

to make it a antique tractor hauler.

332 V8 2 V with a heavy duty 5th over transmission.

Great driver ....ran 72 mph @ 3000 rpm

I bought it on Jan 2 1995 and sold it fathers day 1996 (the yard I stored it in cost to much to justify keeping it) ....fun truck though !

After I sold the "BIG JOB"....I bought the first and only passenger car I ever owned (always owned Ford Pickups)

A 1958 Fairlane Town Sedan.

292 V8 with a fordamatic.

Ran and drove like a dream ....I bought it in 1996 and sold it to buy my house in 2001...even though it was a 4 door sedan it got a lotta looks !

My present vehicle is a 1956 F-100 (clone) originally started life as F-250 pickup somewhere along the line was transformed into a 5 lug F-100 Flatbed....still has the f 250 leaf springs a 9 inch rear out of a Country Squire Wagon and the original 4 speed truck transmission with transmission mounted parking brake....motor is a 292.

Thanks for looking

Nice group of Y-Blocks. I think you saved the best for last. That pickup is sharp. Also glad to hear you got it running ok again. Chuck in NH

PS: put you state/city location in your tag line then we will all know where you are.
