Thanks Daniel! I actually also found one available through Concours Parts, but they are a bit more expensive and require the core or an additional deposit. So I think I'll go with this item.

Thanks again everyone!

Strange, but the same seller has a rebuilt driver's side lock mechanism listed for half the price. You would think IT would be more rare/valuable, since the driver's door usually gets worn out first.

Yea MC....I haven't seen it anywhere either.  Seems like everyplace has the striker plate but not the lock assembly (that includes the lock rotor....you're right about the name). Sad

If anyone sees one out in the wild or knows where I can get one, please let me know.  I'm looking forward to a day when I can confidently close my passenger side door again BigGrin

Ghost, OK I know what your looking for now. I've never seen that part for sale, new. You can get the striker plate but not the "star" (called a lock rotor in the manual). Only thing I can suggest is look for a good used one, check a local swap or e-pay... sorry.

Tried to find the part #, but it's not listed in the Shop Manual and I don't have the door disassembled yet to get it off the part itself, unfortunately.

I'll try to get a pic of what I'm talking about tonight, but I'm not looking for the lock cylinder, it's the lock assembly (as described in shop manual).  Basically, it's the part that has what I describe as looking like a star wheel that turns up underneath when it meets the striker plate.  At least I do not believe it's part of the same assembly as the lock cylinder itself.

As always, thanks for the continued help guys.
