It is a sad day in Alabama and through out the south. I sure hope that all our Y block and 57 Ford friends in North Alabama and Georga are OK. We were luckie south of Montgomery, no major damage.

Our prayers are with you...I heard this morning that when the violent storms passed through western Virginia last night and early this morning, there was a death toll of 4.

I was up early this morning and saw the film footage. Totally devastating. I experienced many tornadoes while in the Texas panhandle but nothing like this, especially with so many fatalities. My thoughts and wishes for a hopeful outcome go out to all.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who suffered loss of property and more important loss of friends and family.

This tragedy is particularly significant to us as we live west of St Louis and last Friday evening the tornadoes were on the ground just a few miles north and south of us before the big one to the north ripped through the suburbs of St Louis, the airport and then crossed the Mississippi River and continued on through Illinois.  However, through some miracle there was no loss of life. So when I hear of the incredible death toll it becomes one of those "there but for the grace of God.....".

Now I've never been accused of being overly spiritual but I've thanked God for our good fortune and will be saying prayers for the folks in the south.

          God Bless

I'd rather be lucky than good.................

    but good ain't bad!!

Over here in north La. there were countless severe thunderstorms with a scattering of

tornadoes, but I only know of three or four fatalities, two of which were drownings from

driving into flood waters.

Trusting God for our neighbors to the east.

Thanks Frank and everone, I talked to my son (1LT Josh Henderson) this afternoon. His National Guard  unit has been sent to North Alabama. He was in Iraq three years ago and said this is worse than anything that he saw overthere as for as distruction.

Just heard on our local news here in Aust that the death toll is over 300 plus, it certainly brought home what the devestation and sheer force of nature can do. Best wishs for all those caught up in it.

Up here in the N.West we hear grumblings about the cold wet Spring we are having... then we see on the news of the total devastation occurring in areas far to the south & east of us... our sympathy & best wishes go out to all those so affected by the storms & flooding. And I hope all our forum members & families are o.k..
