ok redesign is in order looked at my original and it is junk, another thing smooth or ribbed? smooth would be easier and to me look better but do certain pullies need to be ribbed or should it matter? any feed back would be great

Any concept drawings? You say you "didn't realize it was rubbing and the crank one is being a nightmare." I don't fully understand the problems so I can't come up with a solution.
