Hello all,

The time has come to sell my beautiful 1956 Country Sedan. Last spring I took the engine apart down to the block and cleaned 54 years of muck from the inside and outside of the enigne. I replaced every seal and gasket in the engine and reassembled it and painted it. It has a 312 cubic inch firebird engine, original Holly haystack 4 barrel, and the EGC heads. I also had to replace the front crossmember, as the original was rusted bad (a common problem for this style). So the frame is in good shape, It has the Ford-o-Matic transmission in it that leaks a few drips here and there. I had a local repair shop take a look at it (due to my phobia of taking apart transmissions) and they replaced all the gaskets and some of the bushings, but it still leaks. I think it will need a complete tranny rebuild before it can be considered "tip-top", but before I brought it there it was losing two quarts a day; now I put in about a quart a week.

I've painted the car with some metal rust stop stuff, right now it is a great red gold and green (the best three colors on this earth) but it doesn't look like car paint. The interior of the car is in rough shape, but pretty much everything is there. Don't get me wrong, this is no restored beauty...this is beautiful because it DRIVES! I drive it everyday and it gets smiles everywhere it goes. It would be a good candidate for restoration but it is an even better candidate for a rat rod or something equally exciting. If you've got any questions give me an email at cedric.teisberg@barkmail.com Ill try to get some pictures online, and I'm asking $3,000 or best offer

Thanks for looking

Cedric

Daniel

I am located on Madeline Island very far north in wisconsin. There is a possibility I will be driving down to Fairfield Iowa in a few weeks in which case the car would be located in Iowa. Give me an email (its in the first post about the wagon) and we can work out further details. Thanks!
