I've been working on my outfit again now that the temp is dropping out here - and I wanted some heat shield products like the "name brand" stuff from "Thermo-Tec" and "DEI" etc. I just didn't want an outrageous price. To use in spots where the heat load isn't like fire (glowing headers) - just radiant heat like the engine block, tail pipes a foot away, road surface or hot air that needs deflected away.

I found these products made by (or repackaged) by Fel-Pro....they look like a good value.

The "Reflectashield" sheet is 36 inches square with a peel off backside adhesive - $7.52 per sheet and the "ReflexWrap" (split) tubing wrap shown is 1/2 ID x 36 inches long - one stick for $2.43. Really reasonable for spots where the ultimate in rugged exposure protection is not needed.

Try:    www.competitionproducts.com    there may be others that carry it.
