Just went through that, I had two hoods with bad latches, its a salvage yard item or Ebay maybe.

If anyone has a good hood latch for a 58 F100 laying around I sure could use one.. The one on mine was pretty bent and beat up.. LMC, Dennis Carpenter, and Sacramento Vintage Ford don't seem to carry them (at least they weren't in my catalogues.)
