Good news and Bad news .A few of the guys would be aware of the road trip us Aussies were about to undertake in a few weeks .Drive from Los Angeles to Bonneville ,then on to Columbus ,then fly back to LA. Late last week ,Darryl and Jayson had to pull out at the last minute .Darryl has a thyriod cancer that has to be operated on . Off to hospital ASAP . He was so looking forward to the road trip .Our thoughts and prayers will be with him . The good news (some may say bad ) is that Brad & I will be doing the trip to keep the Aussie flag waving .We hope to catch up with Charlie & Tim at Bonneville . See you at Columbus . Lon

Lon, My best wishes and prayers to Daryl and Jayson! I also want to give you good / bad news in the fact I will not be able to make it to Columbus either. I am afraid family commitments and budgets have to take presidence again. Sorry I will not be there to "kick your butt again" but I hope another Canadian will step up and do so for me!!! I hate to see my $50.00 go down under!!! LOL All joking aside, please have a safe and fun trip my friend and maybe this time you will actually reach the finish line first!!! LOL ( that would only happen if you get a bi-run!!!! )

Lon Lon, i like others here will feel a little emotional to hear of Daryls illness and missing the trip also, i know his yellow 54 skyliner was great hit at the Wintersun car show recently. Saw steve on sat nite at club run and reported on meeting you and the converter handover, hope it was ok. We,ll miss the international shootout rivalary with the canuck not attending, but be beware! he could be plotting something! Best regards for daryls recovery. bill. yyy

Bill, unfortunately I am not plotting anything and it is very disapointing that I can't make it. Lon makes it SOOO easy to pick on him, but I do honestly wish him a safe and fun trip! Now if you Aussies could only figure out how to wake him up on the starting line, he may represent your Nation in a better fashion!!! Denis, I know, this has been two years in a row!!! But all I can say is " I'LL BE BACK!!!"

Lon, I would be cautious about a Bi run... Maybe it is something practiced in Canada among consenting adults

Lon when do you think ya'll will be coming through AL? Maybe Bill and I could meet up with you along I 65 somewhere or fill free to drop by. The wife and I will be leaving out early on 1 Sep heading to Columbus, about 12 hours of steady driving from here to Columbus for us.
