Thanks for the rest of the fill in, I looked over the video, as soon as chunks started flying , the camera guy (me) lost direction. I hid !!  It was great talking to you, wish it was better timing !!

That is my crew and partners on my LSR car. Dan Cain and his father built the motor I run in my 55. I have been at him for a while to make that car safer it started as mostly stock 312 now he runs a pretty hot 322 and its time to get the safety equipment up tp snuff he was very lucky and I think it got his attention. He did a awsome job getting it stopped in the weeds beside the track could of ended much worse only casualty was a pair of underwearBigGrin. The GMC belongs to my friend Rooster he is my go to guy always there to help with my car. That is one impressive strait six. Dan and Rooster have a on going battle (Dan won the first show down and Rooster won this one due to the fact he made 4 passes and was able to drive on the trailer). It a fun little grude match with lots of friendly smack talking. Crossville I40 drags today, strong running Yblock had a total clutch ,pressure plate failure at mid track, which took out the cast bellhousing.

I was filming but had to duck for cover as metal chunks were flying everywhere, including the bellhousing . Happy ending ,everyone was safe. Just to bring this part to everyones attention. The failure cut his brake line. Try that some time. I have lost brakes on the circle tracks many times. Be sure you have a plan to protect your lines.

I guess I will go back to work  on these quicktime bellhousings, as racing old stuff with big power is not a good thing.

AH! The good old days!!w00t
