OK here we go again, I recently got a 4100 off of a mustang, but the core is unusable as is, I am now looking for a good core, 289 or 302 application, usually off of fairlanes, comets, and mustangs, with no broken metal parts.

Thanks for the link, I know about them, but for 200 dollars a CORE, i might as well go get myself a brand new shiny elderbrock carb +_+ or demon+_+ their prices are so stupidly high, to me its a total rip off, we are talking about used parts here. unless you are doing a show only all number matching car, its not worth it.

Did I miss read the site? I thought it was $249 for a rebuilt 4100 and that they sell their cores for $200? $249 isn't a bad price for a rebuilt expecially a rare carb like the 4100. Chuck

Looks like I misread it. Don't you have a core that had problems? You could exchange that then the $249 isn't bad. Chuck

my core is not rebuildable, it needs both venturi boosters as teh outer b_rbutt tubes are cracked, and the secondary throttle shaft and plates are gone.
