The pulley now in use is 3/8"  groove X 2.37" deep and 7 3/8" OD but the harmonic balancer, alternator and AC compressor pulleys measure 1/2" across the groove.

I have another pulley that measures 1/2" across the groove X 2.75" deep X 6 1/2" OD.  Due to the depth and OD it interferes with a bracket bolt.

What am I looking for?  Where to look?  Any input or offers considered.  I wouldn't mind a smaller pulley diameter to speed up the fan during the summers here in Texas.  I would consider a pulley with two 1/2" grooves.  Believe the depth needs to stay 2.375".

Thanks

TC

Forgot to mention, I have a fan shroud.  What I need is a pulley with a 1/2" groove.  THX

The ’55 & ’56 harmonic dampers have the ½” wide pulleys.  The belt width went to 3/8” in 1957 and the harmonic damper pulleys were changed accordingly.  Sounds like you just need the earlier damper if you want to stay with the ½” belt.  I don’t believe I’ve a usable damper with a ½” belt pulley but I’ll take a look later today and let you know.

Tom, I have a pulley off a 56 Victoria that measures 1/2" groove,67/8" diameter and 27/16" depth. I am switching to a truck pump so may not need this pulley, should know in a couple days. Let me know if this would work. Mike

Hi, YellowWind.  That pulley sounds like it will work with my 1/2" damper and other 1/2" pulleys.  Let me know when you determine if you will need it or not.  THX  TC
