Does anyone remember the C I to weight ratio for C/G and D/G and the rule for engine setback. Best that I can remember the #1 plug had to align with spindle centerline, but there has been a lot of water under the bridge sense they.

Under the old NHRA gas class rules, a 10 % of wheelbase engine setback was allowed. So the measurement was made from the front spindle. Not sure where the measurement on the engine was, but the most forward spark plug seems familar. Remember, #1 is not always the front most spark plug. I don't remember the class breaks.
