I have a 1954 ford f700 dump truck big job y8 with spare motor, tranny, hood and misc.

the truck has a flat tire and needs the rims to be replace (split rims) or to sell the truck and its parts .

Does anyone have suggestions on what we should do and how to figure out the motor size on this truck

John Mummert's site is basically the encyclopedia of all things Y block. It'll help you identify what you block is. Go here:

http://www.ford-y-block.com/Block%20identification.htm

and as far as what plans you have for your truck, it's probably more opinion than anything else. Have fun and good luck.
