Hi everyone I am finally getting the pieces together to finally complete building up my 292. Thanks to Charlie for helping me get sorted with a prober timing cover for the engine. I am looking for a set (4) aluminum valve cover wing nuts to go with the moon valve covers I got on e-bay. I am sure I will be asking for more advice as start up time approaches.

Are the wing nuts you're looking for some kind of special nut to match the valve covers? If not here's a link to 5/16-24 (Ithink that's the stud size) wing nuts in plated, stainless and brass.

Dave,

These are not for sale, but I thought I'd let everyone see what it is you are looking for.  These were made by Eelco and I haven't seen them for sale in a long time.  I bought these at a swap meet some years ago.  The guy had about 20 and were still in blister packs.  I only bought 4, "DOH!!!".

Later..............Charlie

But will keep looking.

"5/16" - 18 thread" - will those fit our Y-Blocks? If so, I'll order a set (or two).

Just thought I'd put it out there- There was a guy who had a set of nice T-bird valve covers come up missing due to those. He had his car parked for the night at the motel the club was staying at (he was attending an out of state show) He discovered the theft the following morning. I read about it on Jalopy Journal a year or two back, IIRC /Duck
