Just finished reading the second book in Smokey"s autobiagraphy.

In it he briefly mentions the Ford 57 blower as being a "piece of junk Mc Cullah setup".He says he welded the blower wide open, opened up the needle and seat in the carb (which didnt work) and finally put an electric fuel pump on it.

Then it went like hell!

Any thoughts on technically what his discription means?

A gentleman by the name of John Wilson from Alabama was one of the collectors who acquired a bunch of Smokeys "Y" Block goodies when the auction happened.

He ocassionally sells on eBay as Snowbird312.He is one hell of a machinest. He has been building the fluid filled dampners for the Y engines. Also makes some pretty wild looking dual quad air cleaner assemblys.

He has sold some of the stuff off over the years.I was lucky enough to get a N.O.S. blower cam from him.
