In keeping with Johns Scrub comments .People who see the car are going to ask tons of questions and the most common one is why a Y block. My response would be the name of the car Y Not.

You can be the Wyzard of Oz and paint the sheet metal rubY red! As a mater of fact I am going to paint it red with black tubing to match my pit bike. Todays work has a roll cage on the car, we're getting closer! It's amazing the amount of time it takes to cut, bend, notch, fit and weld these few pieces.

Oh, cool. I was just looking at something like that in the Summit catalog. Do the bends come out as good as they look in the pictures - minimal squishing of the pipe?

I don't think it's as simple as it looks, like any machine you find the quirks in it after you use it a bit and compensate. My friend does a nice job but has messed up a couple of bends on this project alone and he has been using the bender for 20 years or more. it's all in how you hold your tongue.
