Hey Guy great to meet you. Charle Burns has been fun to follow over the last few years as well as inspiration to our effort. I am assuming you will be attending the Aug meet then going to the shootout. Im unsure yet as to the schedule to go out west to the salt will be very dependant on the results from testing and such (hate to waste all the travel money and not be as close to ready as possible. Just heard from a guy on another board that Karol Miller is planing to attend the Sept. USFRA meet and run his replica 56 if that pans out to be true would love to see and race at that event.

Wow! Great looking car, great project and great news about Carol being at Bonneville. I planned on attending Columbus (with 2 cars if ready) now that Bonneville comes into the picture, Maybe we need to make a caravan of Y's travelling the country to these events, Y not.

I would love to make a caravan trip out of it but lots to do before we get there, and will see how the funds work out. Would be a blast though.

Had a pretty productive weekend got the headers built just need to finish weld them and send off for coating. It was our first set of headers and was a little intimidating but turned out good enough considering. Not easy to fit 1 3/4 primary in a 55 ford pretty tight for sure. Wanted to get the mock up engine out and the real bullet in but time ran short. The pipes were a little more time consuming than anticipated. Have some new pic of the work follow the link. Thanks to Brent, Dan and Rooster for the help this weekend. http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx231/slg1992002/Lsr%20build%202009/

Thanks Tim I will be mangling tubing very soon. The build is going just like every other build when I have money no time and when I have time no money. I have been following your FED build awesome very excited to see it complete maybe there is a FED in my future but way to much left on my LSR build to even consider. Thanks Sam.

Time for a quick update things are getting done but lots left to do. Finally finished the trunk got the parachute mounts braced the cell is finally mounted, fuel pump and filter mounted and the battery tray and cut off mounted. That completes the major fab for the trunk. the cage is 80% done and finally mounted the seat and got my 5-point harness mounted. Hoping to have most all the major fab work finished by late this week or early next week so all thats left is to install the engine and finish the wiring and plumbing. Here s few pic and thanks for the support and advice i have received. Sam http://s759.photobucket.com/albums/xx231/slg1992002/lsr%20update%203-9-10/
